Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

face balance

finds documents containing 'face' or 'balance

face or balance

same as above

face and balance

finds documents containing both 'face' and 'balance

face not cavity

finds documents containing 'face' but not 'balance

(cavity and face) and balance

finds documents containing 'balance', plus 'cavity' and 'face'

balance*

finds documents containing words starting with 'balance'
